A CGI of how Chatham Waters could look
A delightful waterside environment with great connections

Transport Links

Chatham Waters will offer those based here a delightful waterside environment with great rail and road links to Central London, Canterbury, Maidstone and West Malling. Some of the most beautiful Kent countryside and seaside locations are also within close proximity, offering a number of outdoor activities.

Pier Road

The early enabling works and new road infrastructure system have lead to the completion of an Asda superstore and a University Technical College. The initial development projects also include a new family pub/restaurant. Future commercial, leisure, retail and educational developments will all benefit from an extensive infrastructure system, including serviced plots, high quality public realm, green spaces, environmental landscaping and access to the new Leisure Boulevard.

The Chatham Waters development will be easily accessed from the A289 Pier Road; a dual carriageway which runs along the coastline. The great location allows you to reach the M25 and Dartford Tunnel in less than 30 minutes by car and the nearby A2 main road runs straight into the heart of London. If you fancy a weekend away, or need to travel to France on business, the Eurotunnel is only 40 miles away.

Coach Commuting

The area is also home to the popular coach commuter services to Canary Wharf and Central London allowing for easy travel into the City to enjoy the bright lights or a day at the office. For public transport closer to home, the local bus service stops on Pier Road for travel to and from Chatham town Centre or Walderslade.

Train

By train, both Gillingham and Chatham train stations are very close to the development and offer direct routes to London St Pancras International train station in just 40 minutes. This route also stops at Stratford International, home of the 2012 Olympics, the recently opened Westfield Stratford City shopping centre and a new DLR station offering speedy links to London's docklands. Ebbsfleet International train station is also nearby – merely 21 minutes away – to connect to the Eurostar for travel to the centre of Paris in just two hours.

Air

If you are travelling by air, Gatwick Airport is approximately 1 hour's drive away and offers flights to anywhere in the world.
